9/11 Vigil

This year students gathered on the evening of September 11, 2013 to pay remembrance to the events that had happened 12 years prior.

Student gather into JVH Auditorium to begin the evenings events.

Adjunct Cinema Professor Chris Sepesy gave the opening speech for the event, as well as giving an introduction to the documentary shown that evening entitled 9/11.

Senior Beth Meissner gave a speech at the vigil sharing how the events of 9/11 inspired her to join the air force.

Students lit each others candles while the song Amazing Grace was sung.

When all candles were lit students bowed their heads to share a moment of prayer.

Senior Intelligence and National Security major Ryan Howley who was the events Assistant Coordinator gave some closing words and thanked all who attended.

Cutlines

Erie Pa resident and photo printer Tom Loupe set up his stand at the 11th annual team Pittsburgh Sportsman's Bash. All of his prints were raffled off to benefit the Team Pittsburgh youth dek hockey teams.

Joe Hallo 66 year old Springdale Pa resident purchases raffle tickets for the mega 50/50 raffle worth $2,238 dollars. 

Team Pittsburgh player Cory Herschk from Pittsburgh Pa pays out the winners of the money wheel, the wheel is a very popular attraction at the Sportsman's Bash .

Earl McCorkle 75 year old from Butler Pa calls one of the 84 raffle drawings that occur throughout the day. Earl had been the announcer for the bash for 14 years. 

Chad Eglhaut from Export Pa collects his winnings from the 2:05 drawing. He choose to collect $500 dollars over a certificate for a weapon of equal value.
